Twisting the very ground they walk on, Circle of the Blighted Druids are more than just wilting flowers. These Druids can withstand more attacks and deal out more potent versions of already effective summoned creatures. The Blighted features allow players to live out their fantasies of a character that embraces the macabre parts of the natural world while also bringing useful features to the table. The Circle of the Blighted Druid doesn't make playing the base class harder or less effective, which is an essential element of a good subclass. The cursed land of the subclass' origin affects how these characters play, granting one-of-a-kind bonuses that augment the base class features in powerful ways. The Blighted Druid offers something special - and it's not just flavor text. Plus, they put a completely unique spin on the class, departing from the chill hippie, wild child and even fiery theming of other Druidic Circles. The subclass features presented are certainly powerful and deliver on the creepy promises of the Blighted Druid's name. Best of all, when the Druid starts their turn in the Defiled Ground, they can gain temporary hit points equal to their proficiency bonus. More bony growths sprout from the Druid's skin, which grants resistance to necrotic damage and another +2 to AC. At the fourteenth level, the physical characteristics of the Blighted Druid change again, making their skin grey and completely blacking or whiting out their eyes. The last feature offers a total transformation into a defiled Druid that embodies their cursed land. Corrupted creatures are harder to kill with immunity to poison and necrotic damage. While the blight remains motionless, it is indistinguishable from a tangle of vines. The consistent darkness affecting everything the Druid does creates a wholly unique character. Corrupting the Conjure Woodland Beings spell makes this feature incredibly powerful. Then, with the Foul Conjuration tenth-level feature, any fey, beast or plant the Druid conjures is also corrupted, which includes the Blighted Sapling. The medium plant can be awakened when a creature in the Defiled Ground takes damage as if they’re born out of the blood spilling on the corrupted ground. It attacks and becomes stronger as the character levels up. Hit: 12 Armanite - Monster Dungeons & Dragons - DnD 5e Armanite Armanite.
